Tourism Awareness Programme at Fuvahmulah

Atoll Education Centre of Gnaviyani Atoll organised special lectures on Tourism for the students of Grade 8 and 9 to assist them in their Tourism Studies.
This programme was held at Fuvahmulah Atoll Education Centre from June 23 to 24, 2005 and was conducted in association with the Maldives Tourism Promotion Board, Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Studies and Island Aviation Services.
In addition, an awareness programme on Tourism Studies was also carried out for the Grade 7 students in Primary Schools of Fuvahmulah. This was to guide them in taking Tourism Studies module as an option when they start their studies in Grade 8 next year.
The Ministry of Tourism has announced that a 200 bed hotel would be developed at the island of Fuvahmulah soon.

Guess how many resort islands we have in Maldives, but why always lacture, why not they take them to nearest atoll Addu and give them lil touch and feel about tourism and how it is, i know tourism doesnt only mean reosrts, but that is main thing in these small islands..i can say this lacture will not help much for them to undersdant the topic..foolish people in education ministry" please let our brothers and sisters grow up atleast with some knowledge..

this is another bullshit thing they're goin to do. does one lecture programe is enough for work in a hotel? ooh even for the grade 7 students?
somebody please remind them that there is atleast 3 or 4 years left for those students to come up for a job.
